Sean and the team from MyGuy Plumbing ( Jill,Jake and Sam) did a fantastic job with helping with a water heater, calling manufacturers, other companies and converting my house from oil to gas and fixing a shower handle. All permits conversations and coordination with the Town and NJNG were taken care of by the team. The process was seamless! Repaired gas line for water heater and furnace in Colts Neck NJ
Arrived to the home for a gas leak near the water heater and furnace. Client had called the gas company and the turned off the butterfly valve before the gas cock for both water heater and furnace. Client had three leaks on the gas piping going to the appliances. One on the flex line, another on a flare adapter, and one the butterfly valve. I provided options for repairs and client would like to go through with the work quoted and become a member. Disassembled all gas piping for water heater and furnace. Checked threads on piping. Supplied and installed new gas cock in the place of the butterfly valve. Supplied and installed new gas flex for water heater. Secured all connections and bubble tested all the joints on the gas pipe. There are no leaks at this time. Relit water heater and started up furnace for client. *The existing water heater is very old, client is aware and that replacement is highly recommended. Left options for replacement. *Client is now a member.
New power vent water heater, new toilet, new laundry sink package, new sump pump with membership Arrive back to home to complete job. Today MyGuy supplied and installed laundry sink package and new sump pump. Ran new line for sump out of the home and tied discharge for laundry pump into main system. Added all appropriate fitting. Tested for leaks on all work and there are none at this time
Arrived on site to possible call back. Upon inspection leak was coming from the strainer. Client stated they had a Christmas party and used lots of hot boiling water and strainer started to leak. Removed strainer and put putty back and tightened down all the way this time to ensure no leaks this time. Tested the strainer by filling and dumping with hot water multiple times and put paper towel underneath to show if thief were any leaks. We also used boiling water to see if it would leak. There were zero drips this time as we were testing and everything is now draining as it should.
Repipe double bay kitchen sink with membership Arrived to home to remove disposal. Upon inspection found disposal on double bay sink that customer wanted removed before selling home. MyGuy removed garbage disposal and repipe all drainage under sink in pvc adding 2 new basked strainers. Tested for leaks, there are none at this time. Membership will be transferred to new home owner.
Arrived to the home, customer originally had three faucets they would like us to install for them, one faucet is not on site, the other faucet had all been installed just needs drainage under the sink and the wood drilled for it, lastly the kitchen faucet replaced. I provided option and the client would like us to install their faucet at this time. I will leave a quote to install the drainage under the one sink and another faucet install for the client. Disconnected and removed existing kitchen faucet from the home. Installed a customer supplied kitchen faucet. Mounted faucet to the countertop and secured the connection. Hooked up the water supply. Turned water on to check for leaks. There are no leaks at this time.
We had recently replaced the Moen posi temp shower cartridge for the client, I arrived today due to the client stating the shower is not turning on or working correctly at all. I disconnected the acrylic handle and discovered that the handle is cracked, resulting in the shower not working correctly. I supplied and installed a new handle for the client at this time. My theory as to why the handle broke, was when putting the shower parts back together, the tech on site, had accidentally sent the set screw to far resulting in the handle breaking. No 59$
Upon arrival customer stated they had a sulfur smell coming from their hot water. MyGuy diagnosed issue and found the water heater to be 10 years old and the anode rod was probably bad. MyGuy created options for replacement of water heater with 6 and 10 year manufacturer warranty options. Customer decided to move forward with replacement of their water heater with MyGuy membership and 6 year manufacturer warranty. Once installed we turned water back on to home, purged all air from system, and tested for leaks. There are no leaks at this time and everything is functioning as it should. *permit fees are at homeowners cost. *customer is now a member
Arrived call client stated they had a leak under the kitchen sink and thier hose bib was hard to turn. Client does not have a separate shutoff valve for hose bib. Client would like to move forward with leak under kitchen sink today. Replaced basket strainer and dishwasher tailpiece and when done we turned water on to test for leaks. Ran water from the kitchen faucet and dishwasher and there are no leaks at this time. Left estimates for a new hose bib and hose bib shutoff and client will call us back to replace hose bib at a later date. 6 month parts and labor warranty on todays work.
